Why I Started A Home Care Agency

I opened Home Care Assistance of Greater South Houston & Galveston as a result of my personal experiences with my Father. My Father contracted a rare and rapid degenerative form of Multi-Symptom Atrophia (MSA) in the spring of 2009.

As my Father’s condition declined, the added hardship on our Mother became increasingly apparent. Her physical health along with her mental health began to diminish as she tried desperately to provide the care that our Father needed now on a daily basis. His condition worsened to near total immobility in his final months during the summer of 2011. All family members were now engaged in the care of our father according to his wishes. Unfortunately, this was not enough and our mother’s depression deepened as the reality of his condition began to sink in. Fearing the possibility our mother was about to collapse we decided professional help was now needed.

The impact of a professionally trained caring provider in a situation such as this is invaluable. Our caregiver had over 17 years experience and the impact she made was immediate. The respite my mother received because of these caregivers undoubtedly restored her physical well being and relieved a tremendous amount of stress. The care my father received was one-on-one and his wish of passing in his home and not a facility was fulfilled.

Today, my staff and I visit clients in their homes and other settings to manage their care and to keep their families and loved ones informed. My office is on-call 24/7 to handle all of the necessary details. We always make sure our clients have a qualified alternate in case the primary caregiver is unavailable for any reason. Our clients have no worries about unpaid taxes, caregiver worker compensation claims, or the bonding and insuring of caregivers. We take care of everything to relieve your family’s stress and concerns.

Our certified caregivers deliver the professional and courteous quality of care along with the companionship your family member deserves. My personal experience has allowed me to clearly see the value of these special providers. We will always strive to place them in a home environment that rewards good work and recognizes how important these skills can be when utilized in the appropriate way.

Thank you for your interest in Home Care Assistance of Greater South Houston & Galveston. I look forward to meeting with you and assisting your family members or your friend’s needs.
